Chateau Moulin

Chateau Moulin is a lake of 42 acres that was dug by the monks to grow crayfish. The lake is situated at a wooded valley. The small river Vincou provides the lake with fresh water. There are three natural streams which are good for the supply of enough oxygen, even in the summer period. Since 2001 the lake is owned by Kim and Steve Adams. This English family guarantees a perfect service at this peaceful lake. The lake is featured by the lily fields and overhanging trees. This all together will help to let you have a perfect holiday.

Chateau Moulin counts 18 swims with a maximum of 10 anglers at the same time. So there is plenty of space for each angler. At every swim you can find an unhookmat. The swims will be given away by raffle. The average water level is 1,5 meter, the deepest spot is at the dam: 3 to 4 meters. The soil excists mainly of clay with some gravel and sandbank.

Stock
Chateau Moulins stock counts more than 700 carp: mirror and common carps. The average weight of the carp is around 16 kg. The top fish are around 28 kg. Besides carp, there is a good stock of pike, pike-perch, blackbass and catfish.

Facilities
In the main building are two showers and a toilet. There are two freezers which you can use free of charge and you can take a jerrycan to fill with fresh water. Around the lake you can find three wooden huts with toilets.

Service
Most of the anglers come back often because of the high service Kim and Steve Adam will give you. You can find the cosy cluhouse in the old water mill. If you like, you can have breakfast, lunch and diner at the clubhouse or to take away, for a good price. At the clubhouse coffee, tea, soft drinks, beer, etc. is served too. You can play darts or use the pooltable as well. There is a small range of end-tackle and house special boilies.
If you please, you can rent a baitboat.

Accommodation
At Chateau Moulin it is possible to rent a 4-room appartment. This appartment is situated at the first floor of the main building. There are three bedrooms (1 room with double bed, 1 room with two single beds and 1 room with a single bed). The living-room has a tv (only English channels), there is a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet and you can find a kitchen.
